Who we are
Chirpi is published by Chirpi, SASU, 229 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France. We decide how the data described on this page is used. For any question about it, write to support@chirpi.care.
In the app: what we keep
You sign in with Apple or Google. We keep only a scrambled version of the identifier they send us, made with a secret key and impossible to reverse. We never receive or keep your name, your email or your photo.
- Your account: the scrambled sign-in, your language, your time zone and your reminder times.
- What you do in the app: check-ins, goals and steps, your vision board, courses, practices, meditations and points.
- What you write: journal entries, thoughts, check-in notes and practice conversations, encrypted before they reach our database.
- Your conversations with Chirpi, and the short facts it learns from them so it can remember what matters to you.
- Whether your subscription is active, which the App Store or Google Play tells us. We never see your card.
Why we use it
To give you the service you asked for: to remember you, answer you and suggest the next step. Your words are read by the AI models that write Chirpi's answers, for you only, and are never used to train them.
Before a message is answered, an automatic check looks for signs that you may be in danger, so Chirpi can show you where to find help. No person reads your messages.
If you turn on "Help improve Chirpi" in Settings, we also collect usage events that never include your words. It is off until you turn it on.
On this website
This website sets no cookies. Visits are counted with Plausible, which records pages and where visitors came from without identifying anybody.
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and, if you choose, what brings you here, in Mailchimp. We use it to confirm your address and to write once more, the day Chirpi opens. Every email has a link to leave the list.
Who helps us run Chirpi
These companies handle data for us, only on our instructions:
- Google Cloud: hosting, storage, encryption keys and the AI models that write Chirpi's answers, in the United States.
- Neon: the databases, in the United States.
- Google Firebase: notifications, crash reports and, only if you allow it, usage analytics.
- Apple and Google: sign-in, and payment through their stores.
- Mailchimp: the waitlist emails.
- Plausible: website visit counts, without cookies, in the European Union.
When data leaves the European Union, it is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.
How long we keep it
Your account and everything in it, until you delete it. Deleting is one tap in Settings and takes effect at once; the safety copies of our databases are erased within 30 days.
Your waitlist email, until you leave the list or three years after your last contact with us, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can see, copy, correct or delete your data, and object to how it is used. Most of this is in the app: Settings makes a copy of everything you wrote and has a button that deletes your account. For anything else, write to support@chirpi.care.
If you think we got something wrong, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) in France, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Chirpi is not meant for anyone under 15.
Changes to this page
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change applies.
